Lilly Endowment Scholarship Helps Avery Wegner Plot Her Course
For Avery Wegner, recently announced as the recipient of the 2026 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship for Pulaski County, life in Pulaski County can be summed up in one simple yet very important word.

To begin your scholarship application, the first step is to create an account on our scholarship portal.
New users: Click on “Create New Account” and complete the registration process to create your login credentials.
Existing users: enter your credentials and log in.
When to Apply
- The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship opens on the first Friday in August and closes on the first Wednesday in September.
- General Scholarships open mid-December and close the first week of March.
- Non-traditional scholarships open in March and close in April.

Non-traditional Adult Scholarships
The Community Foundation administers three non-traditional scholarships for current college students and older adults. Non-traditional applications include the Back Home Again in Indiana Scholarship, Gary M Schnapf 4-H Memorial Scholarship, and the K Stuart Gast Scholarship.
Applications are available in mid-March with an April deadline.
Back Home Again in Indiana Scholarship
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, enrolled in or applying to a training program or accredited college or university, be a resident of Pulaski County, and be in need of financial assistance.
K. Stuart Gast Scholarship
Open to college students who are Pulaski County residents, have attended a public high school and are interested in the arts. First preference goes to students enrolled at Butler University, Indiana University or Herron School of Art & Design.
Gary M. Schnapf Memorial 4-H Scholarship
Applicants will be Fulton County residents who plan to enroll in their sophomore or junior year of college, and 10-year 4-H Dairy members. 10-year 4-H members will also be considered.
