In our effort to support and improve childcare for our families of Pulaski, we need data, resources, and, most importantly, people.

Fortunately, we have individuals like Stephanie Rambo, who can combine all those elements to form the big picture of childcare at the state level while attending to the needs unique to our community.

After 16 years of teaching in K-12 public education, Stephanie—now acting as the Community Engagement Specialist for Right Steps Child Care Resource and Referral—is more than ready to help find the right solutions for Pulaski.

“My specialty is connecting community leaders to data and resources to facilitate connections between communities and share successful child care solutions and best practices from similar regions.”

As a way to maintain and build strong connections in our community, Stephanie is also a
founding member of the Pulaski Early Learning Network, a coalition focused on creating accessible and affordable quality childcare in our community.

“One of the things I immediately noticed when I joined the coalition in Pulaski is the diverse membership,” Stephanie said. “This community has drawn together business leaders, community-serving organizations, parents, and early childhood educators in a unique and powerful way.”

With such a variety of people, Stephanie knows the importance of serving the community.

“For our communities to succeed, we need EVERYONE to thrive,” She stated.” Serving the community is my way of raising the tide for others; no matter your circumstances, people need people.”

All these insights and ambitions make Stephanie a perfect guide in shaping the future of childcare in our community.

“The coalition of Pulaski County is making it clear that childcare is not just a family issue. It’s an economic issue that must be addressed to have sustainable community growth,” Stephanie stated. “As the community continues to embrace this reality, I envision a thriving county where all caregivers and families have equitable access to affordable quality childcare.”
