One of our community’s most significant needs is affordable, high-quality childcare. We are fortunate to have many people guiding us in meeting that need.

Kasey Zimpfer, a longtime member of our community, is one of those visionary leaders with a clear picture of how childcare can take shape in a way that benefits everyone.

As the senior director of HR at BraunAbility, Kasey—with the support of her husband and two kids—knows a thing or two about working effectively with others to meet a goal together. This is an invaluable skill she’s lent to our community as a founding member of the Quality Childcare Coalition!

“In a community that inspires residents to support one another and contribute positively, I find it important to address the unique needs and challenges we face,” said Kasey. “By serving my community, I aim to enhance the quality of life for those around me, all while enjoying the journey of making a difference.”

The growth and development of our youth are always top-of-mind for Kasey as she continues to make a difference.

“Children can gain significant benefits from childcare, such as developing social skills like sharing, cooperation, and communication, and engaging in educational activities that stimulate cognitive growth,” she said. “My children had an invaluable childcare experience that greatly benefited our family. The structured environment helped them learn to manage their emotions and develop resilience, giving them a glimpse of what they might face daily.”

It is a tall order to shape Pulaski’s future of childcare alone, but Kasey is confident in the help she has from our community organizations and people.

“With the support of the Pulaski County Early Learning Network, childcare in Pulaski County can continue providing a safe and nurturing environment where children feel secure and supported,” said Kasey. “I’m optimistic that the efforts of the Coalition will help existing providers maintain high-quality childcare and early learning opportunities for families in Pulaski County while also promoting the establishment of new providers to meet the increasing demand for quality early education.”
