CFoPC funds organizations, programs, projects, and initiatives that seek to improve and enhance the quality of life in Pulaski County, Indiana, for all residents. Granting making areas of special interest are high quality early learning and childcare and substance misuse. Other areas of interest include arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environment and animal welfare, health and wellness, human services, and sports and recreation.

CFoPC places a higher priority on proposals that:

  • Present an innovative and practical approach to a community problem or project
  • Promote collaborative relationships between organizations to leverage resources and reduce duplication of services more effectively
  • Reach a broad segment of the community, especially those members whose needs are not met by existing services that are normally expected to be provided by private or government resources. For example, mental health initiatives or afterschool mentorship for youth.
  • Give evidence of the qualifications and financial stability of the organization applying
  • Fund one-time projects or needs
  • Demonstrate sustainability for projects or programs that are to be ongoing

CFoPC places a lower priority on the following:

  • Projects where CFoPC is the sole funder
  • Capital projects such as building repair, replacement of furnishing and fixtures
  • Programs that are the responsibility of government funding or tax supported such as operating expenses for public schools and police or fire protection
  • Travel and/or attendance at conferences, seminars, or other projects

CFoPC will not fund requests for the following purposes:

  • Annual Fund and Endowment Campaigns*
  • Capital Campaigns
  • National Organizations (unless the funds are to be used solely to benefit residents of Pulaski County)
  • Political Activity or those designated to influence legislation
  • Reduction of debt
  • Religious organizations for the sole purpose of furthering that religion (this prohibition does not apply to funds created by donors who have specifically designated religious organizations as beneficiaries of the funds)*
