Additional Resources for Grant Seekers

Securing funding can be complex—but you don’t have to navigate it alone.

In addition to our grant programs, the Community Foundation offers tools, guidance, and connections to help nonprofits, schools, and community organizations strengthen their funding strategies and increase their chances of success.

Support from the Community Foundation

Thought Partnership

We serve as a strategic thought partner for organizations at every stage of readiness. Whether you are refining an idea, aligning a project with community priorities, or thinking through sustainability, our team can help you clarify goals, strengthen your case for support, and identify next steps.

Grant Research & Funding Searches

The Community Foundation provides access to GrantStation, a leading national database of grant opportunities. We can assist with targeted funding searches to help you identify additional opportunities that align with your mission and project needs—saving you time and sharpening your focus.

Grantwriting Support

Strong proposals tell a clear, compelling story. We offer guidance on grantwriting fundamentals, proposal structure, budgets, and outcomes. While we do not write proposals on behalf of organizations, we can review drafts, provide feedback, and help you strengthen alignment with funder priorities.

Other Local & Regional Funding Opportunities

In addition to Community Foundation resources, grantseekers may wish to explore the following funding sources commonly available to local organizations:

Rural Electric Membership Corporations (REMCs)

Many local REMCs offer community grants or charitable giving programs that support education, economic development, and community improvement projects within their service areas. REMCs serving Pulaski County are:

Walmart Spark Good Grants

Walmart Spark Grants provide funding to nonprofits serving communities where Walmart stores and distribution centers operate. Eligible projects often focus on hunger relief, workforce development, environmental sustainability, and community well-being.

State & Federal Grant Programs

Public funding opportunities—through state agencies or federal programs—can support larger-scale or longer-term initiatives. These grants often require more detailed applications but can provide significant resources for impactful projects. Contact the Community Foundation for more information about how to apply for a state or federal program.
